Genny Hepworth, PT, DPT
Genevieve (Genny) Hepworth was born and raised in Iowa. Growing up she was very active, trying out all the sports that she could. She played tennis, softball, basketball, dance, and eventually found her place with soccer and volleyball. During her sophomore season in high school, she experienced multiple ankle and hamstring injuries which was her first experience with physical therapy and ignited her passion for the profession where exercise and medicine intersect.
She attended Iowa State University for her undergraduate education where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health and a minor in gerontology with plans to become a physical therapist. Starting while in college and continuing after graduation she taught group fitness classes including strength training, cycling, Pilates, Barre, and Silver Sneakers, and worked as a personal trainer for six years.
She attended physical therapy school at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA and graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2022. Genny moved to Florida in December of 2022 and began working as a physical therapist in January 2023 in an outpatient clinic in Titusville, then joined the PT Professionals team in November 2023. Genny is passionate about helping patients return to the activities they love, especially after surgery, and she encourages her patients to spread the message that exercise is medicine.
She also enjoys working with patients to reduce risk of falls. Outside of physical therapy, Genny enjoys spending time outdoors with her fiance, two dogs, friends, and family, and staying active through sports and exercise.
